Fiona + Toby 4Eva: A Harvest Moon Love Story

Harvest Moon: Animal Parade is one in a series of farm sim games. You run a virtual farm with livestock and crops, you can supplement your harvest with fishing and mining, and you can make friends and develop a romantic attachment. It's just like real farm life except with no dangerous chemicals and none of your animals ever get taken down by coyotes.

My avatar, Fiona, moved to the island of Castanet why? I assume to escape some sort of terrible home life. Upon moving there, the Mayor of nearby Harmonica Town just handed over an abandoned farm, complete with house, barn, chicken coop and field. It was probably the site of a horrific family slaying, hence its abandoned status, but the Mayor certainly wasn't going to tell Fiona that.

What's Making Us Happy This Week

MS. MARVEL #1

I'm thrilled about . I work in a community that is home to many Muslim families, so it's exciting to have superhero role model on our shelves that reflects the diversity we see every day. I can't wait to buy these trades for our teens! -Marcela

Anime Today: Having Passion

Welcome to 2014, readers, and also to the return of nobody's everybody's favorite column, Anime Today!

With the new year comes new years resolutions, precious time off from school and work, delicious food (at least for some of us), time with friends and family, perhaps a new outlook on life, a chance to start over, and plenty of year-end clearance sales, but most importantly, a new season of anime! I don't know about you, but I am particularly excited this season, as there are quite a number of shows airing this winter that I have been looking forward to. These are, namely: the continuation of Golden Time, Nagi no Asukara, season two of Silver Spoon, Love, Chunibyo and Other Delusions!, and the brand new Tonari no Seki-kun, The Pilot's Love Song, Engaged to the Unidentified, Witch Craft Works, and Pupa. Oh, and I'm also watching Kill la Kill still, but we'll pretend I'm not. All in all, it's looking to be an enjoyable season!

Mushishi tokubetsu-hen hihamukage / Mushishi reboot April

Well, I am so lucky to have watched Mushishi recently. I literally was wondering what I should've watched around the end of November and I ended up watching the masterpiece that was mushishi. I didn't know at the time that there was going to be a 1-hour special on the show and I certainly did not expect for me to enjoy it as much as I did.

Mushishi is an old anime that aired in 2005 - 2006 and it was definitely a prized gem for it's time. I don't think the quality of the anime suffers because of it's age and I find it quite fascinating that an animation was done that good back in the day. So if you have not seen the original mushishi I would most definitely recommend checking it out.
